5 Things To Do This Weekend: Travel Without Leaving Home
Here are 5 Patch picks for things to do this weekend.

It's August and the dog days of summer are here. Why not celebrate them with an ice cream social to benefit our furry friends this weekend. Or if you're craving an exotic vacation, head over to Marblehead Arts Association for some travel photography.
Whatever your tastes, there is plenty to do this weekend.
Explore - His photograph, "Organized Religion" juxtapose a herd of sheep and Mont Saint-Michel in Normandy, France. These are just some of the unexpected and awe-inspiring works you can see at the Marblehead Arts Association this weekend. For 40 years, John Fogle has been a traveler and an avid photographer. Europe, Mexico, and Vietnam have been subjects of his camera, on both an amateur and professional level. Now at the MAA, 16 black and white photographs document his journeys as well as Marblehead. An opening reception will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at MAA.

Cruise - Head to The Landing Restaurant and jump on board a Mahi Mahi cocktail cruise and dinner. The cruise leaves from The Landing and spends one-and-one-half hours cruising Marblehead Harbor and Misery Islands. The cruise then docks at The Landing for a restaurant dinner. The cruise is $42 for dinner or take just the cruise for $18. The cruise takes place every Sunday until Labor Day. Call The Landing for reservations: 781-639-1266.
Taste - The sweet taste of success. Last week, 5 Corners Kitchen won a seafood throwdown at Marblehead Farmers' Market. Try the restaurant out - since it opened this spring, it has become a local favorite. The Board of Selectmen approved a change to the restaurant's liquor license on Wednesday, meaning drinks can be served starting at 10 a.m. on Sundays.
