Annual Fireworks Display Delights Crowds

The 2010 Marblehead Fireworks delighted crowds with oohs and ahhs Sunday night as residents rang in the Fourth of July.

Onlookers gathered early to claim their spots to view the fireworks. A popular spot was Crocker Park where a live band played for the hours before the fireworks and afterward. Glow sticks and slush were aplenty and red, white and blue blanketed the crowd.

An exciting part of the night came just minutes before the fireworks display started when a flare on the shoreline of Crocker Park caught fire to the surrounding grass. The fire was quickly extinguished using bottles of water.
