Astronomically High Tide to Bring Surge Monday Night

Coastal flooding and tidal flooding is possible with a surge at high tide on Monday night.

An astronomically high tide may cause some minor coastal flooding on Monday night.

Both coastal flooding and tidal flooding is possible with a surge up to a half foot expected during the evening high tide, which is expected at 11:20 p.m. in Marblehead.

“Areas of minor coastal flooding may result in some flooding of the most vulnerable shore roads during the evening high tide cycle,” the National Weather Service said in a coastal flood statement issued at midday on Monday.
