The following is an excerpt of the Marblehead Police log from Saturday, June 19 to Monday, June 21 at 6 a.m.
- On Saturday at 9:09 p.m., a Jersey Street resident reported that her family member was out on his sailboat and had dropped his son off at 4:30 that afternoon. After, he was headed to the mooring to put the boat back and then was going to pick up his daughter at 8:30 p.m. but he never showed. The woman said the man is diabetic. Police and the Harbormaster began radioing the man via marine radio while Sgt. Sweeney found the man's vehicle on Jersey Street. The Harbormaster found the sailboat, named "capricious" outside the channel, three to four boats past Overlook Road. When the Harbormaster found the man, he was on his boat in diabetic emergency. Police requested emergency services to Village Street dock. Midharbor Patrol picked up emergency services and the Harbormaster picked up firefighters. Once they picked the man up, Midharbor patrol worked to stabilize his blood sugars. The man was transported once at the dock, by ambulance, to Salem Hospital. His condition is unknown.
- A Park Lane resident called police on Sunday at 9:52 a.m. to alert them someone had tried to steal his boat overnight. The resident said the boat's ignition was tampered with. The boat is a 28' Sea Ray. A report was filed.
- At 3:51 p.m. Sunday, a Neptune Road resident called police to tell them he was parked at the 7-11 on Pleasant Street when a car pulled next to him, just inches away. The man said something about the other person parking so closely. The other driver told him that he was lucky that the other driver didn't drag him out of the car and punch his face in. The man gave police the plate number of the other car in case anything further happens.
- A gas line was ruptured Sunday at 5:04 on Conant Street while crews were digging. Sgt Keating evacuated 23 Winthrop and 12 Conant Street and National Grid responded to fix the line.
- Police and fire responded to a Richard Road home after 8 p.m. Sunday night when homeowners found smoke in their living room. Firefighters found a malfunctioning air conditioner in the rear of the home.
