Drunken Woman Tries to Get in Stranger's House at 2 a.m.

The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police Department log:
Tuesday, Sept. 2
A parade of cars was gathering on Humphrey Street near the high school at 5:40 a.m. An officer found that the cars belonged to a boot camp exercise class and some seniors were spoken to about safety during any parade of cars.

An officer spoke to a large group of high school seniors on Ocean Avenue at 5:50 a.m. about safety during a car parade - if it was going to happen.
A parade of cars was reported on Pleasant Street at 7:01 a.m. where students were hanging out of car windows.

A caller wanted Chandler Hovey Park on Lighthouse Lane opened at 7:02 a.m.
Four parking spaces were blocked off on front of a Pleasant Street address from 8:30 a.m. to noon for a professional photography session.
A property owner on Central Street said that workers doing construction next door may have to come on her property but she had not been notified at 8:21 a.m.
A motorcycle was parked on the sidewalk at Lafayette Street and Carna Road at 9:39 a.m. The owner was located at home and said he will move it. Another call was received at about noon saying the motorcycle was on the sidewalk and an officer checked the area again.
A large limb was hanging on Brook Road between Pickwick and Glendale roads at 10:04 a.m.
Graffiti was reported behind a building on Farrell Court at 11:11 a.m. It was found to be old damage and the Housing Authority was contacted.
A 2-year-old swallowed part of a plastic piece and it was possibly struck in their throat at a Higgins Road address at 11:25 a.m. The child was not transported to the hospital.
A lost phone was reported at 11:40 a.m. It may have been lost near Devereux Beach or near the Old Town House.
A Londonderry Road resident reported they had received several phone calls at 11:42 a.m. from someone claiming to be from the Treasury Department. She was told it was a scam.
A Manataug Trail resident saw a trash truck hit his fence a month ago. He spoke to the company but they have not returned his call. At 1:25 p.m., an officer went to the Parks and Recreation Department to find out who was driving the truck and will get back to the officer.
A wallet was reportedly lost near Five Corners at 2:06 p.m.
A complaint was received at 2:08 p.m. about parents that have parked along Village Street from the school to the traffic lights making it difficult to make the turn from Village Street to West Shore Drive. The Electric Department came through the area with no problem.
An elderly driver reportedly hit a parked car on Pleasant Street at 2:47 p.m. One of the involved vehicles was towed away.
A fire alarm going off at a Seaview Avenue address at 4:06 p.m. was investigated.
A Gallison Avenue resident reported a scam phone call at 4:08 p.m.
A past car crash was reported at a Reed Street address at 4:12 p.m. A woman reported the sideview mirror and both door panels were damaged on her Audi A3.
A Saturd Road resident walked in to the police station at 5:19 p.m. to report identity theft based on a report from a credit company.
Police stood by while a repossession was conducted on Linden Street at 6:03 p.m. The owner gave up the keys to the Toyota Corolla.
Road rage was reported at Pleasant and Devereux streets where the lanes go from two lanes to one. The person who called police at 6:21 p.m. had pulled over and wanted to see police.
A female walked in to the police station at 6:40 p.m. to report her father’s cell phone lost after a car crash.
Neighbor issues involving a dog were reported at Washington and Rockaway streets at 6:53 p.m.
A caller requested a well-being check of their parents at a West Shore Drive address because they did not show up for a dinner in Hamilton at 7:01 p.m. An officer checked and the family was safe.
An unregistered dirt bike was in the area of Henry’s Way at 7:04 p.m.
An accidental 911 call came from a Ballast Lane address at 7:06 p.m.
A past break-in was reported at a Hillside Avenue address at 7:38 p.m. The deadbolt appeared to have been tampered with. An officer investigated and said there was no break-in.
An 8-year-old grandson was out of control at a Prince Street address at 7:57 p.m. The boy was calm when police arrived and the grandmother was given advice about what to do and who to contact.
A 911 call was transferred from Essex Regional Emergency Communications Center from a woman who had a head injury but did not know where she was located at 9:35 p.m. She remembered her friend’s name and she was located at a Brookhouse Drive address.
Wednesday, Sept. 3
A woman called 911 from a Lafayette Street address at 2:16 reporting that someone in the backyard was trying to get into their house. Her husband was downstairs yelling at the person. It turned out it was a drunk female trying to get in. A 37-year-old woman from Salem was taken into protective custody. The woman left her backpack in the garage and an officer returned to retrieve it.
A branch was down at Village and Pleasant streets and the Tree Department was notified to pick it up at 7:23 a.m.
