Elderly Man Sustains Serious Injures In Marblehead Pedestrian Strike

Marblehead police said the 80-year-old man was struck on Pleasant Street early Friday night.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — An 80-year-old man sustained serious injuries when he was struck on Pleasant Street in Marblehead early Friday night.

Pleasant Street was shut down and traffic was detoured away from the area for a short time following the strike that occurred at about 6 p.m.

Police said that the man was treated at the scene and then taken to a local hospital.
