High-Speed Marblehead Chase Leads To Arrest: Police

MARBLEHEAD, MA — A high-speed chase through Marblehead and neighboring communities that lasted about 30 minutes led to charges against the driver on Tuesday, police said.

Police said they responded to a disturbance at a residence at about 3 p.m. and that the suspect fled the home in a vehicle.

"Within minutes, several responding officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the operator refused to stop, driving at high speeds throughout the town and neighboring jurisdictions," police said.

Police said the vehicle was later located back in Marblehead and that the driver was arrested and will face "a number of to-be-determined criminal charges."
