Jail For Marblehead 'Revenge Porn' Convict Who Skipped Treatment
Reid Jones was classified as a level two sex offender after being convicted in one of the nation's first "revenge porn" prosecutions.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — A Level 2 sex offender who lives in Marblehead will spend a week in jail after skipping a court-ordered treatment session to celebrate his 50th birthday. Reid Jones, 50, of 17 Nichlson Street in Marblehead, was released from prison in February after serving a five-to-seven-year prison sentence after being convicted of charges of rape, indecent assault and battery and photographing an unsuspecting person in the nude. He is serving five years probation for identity fraud.
Jones was one of the first people convicted in a "revenge porn" prosecution, according to the Salem News, which first reported this story. In 2013, he created a Facebook profile using the name of a woman he had sexually assaulted in 2010 and then posted photos of the assault. Jones admitted to assaulting the woman and taking the photos of the woman after she passed out at a dinner party of a mutual friend.
