MARBLEHEAD, MA — The new coronavirus outbreak in Massachusetts and across the country is having vast impacts in Marblehead. Patch has compiled this round-up of the latest, local coronavirus news.

As of Monday, there were 13,837 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Massachusetts. So far, there have been 260 coronavirus deaths in Massachusetts. Marblehead reported its first case on March 19. By March 30, that number had grown to 13.

Schools across the state will remain closed until at least May 4 and are continuing to send home remote-learning activities for students. State education officials have still not determined whether they will be able to postpone or even cancel MCAS exams.
