Town Clerk Robin Michaud is being challenged by Terri Tauro and Melissa Flanagan.

Planning Board incumbent Edward Nilsson is being challenged by Timothy Swigor.

There is also a contested race for the Cemetery Commission with Gerald Tucker and Rose MacCarthy vying for the opening spot.

Voters will also decide whether to authorize a tax override to fund the bonding of $8.6 million for a new HVAC system at the high school to be installed at the same time as a previously approved $5.3 million roof replacement, and $5.6 million in renovations to the Mary A. Alley Building.

Both projects were approved at last month's annual town meeting to appear on the ballot.

This will be the first of two trips to the polls for residents over the course of the month with a decision on the MBTA Community Zoning set for July 8 after town meeting members voted to stick with the Planning Board's plan to comply with the state mandate last month.
