Marblehead Boat Names to Be Featured in Newest Edition of Book

A second edition of “Marblehead Boat Names” is in the works and the author is looking to have every Marblehead boat owner participate.

Susan Cairns Fischer put together the collection of boat names and the unique stories behind them more than twenty years ago “and it’s time for a second edition,” she said.

IIf you own a boat that resides in Marblehead waters, and would like your boat to be included in this book, Fisher asks that you complete a Marblehead Boat Names- Form.

Submissions are due by Sept. 15.

The second edition will also include boat names and stories unless a removal/revision is requested. Names of boat owners will be kept confidential and will not be included in the book, she said.

Fisher is encouraging boat owner to spread the word because her goal is to have participation from all Marblehead boat owners.
