MARBLEHEAD, MA — A newcomer to the Marblehead Select Board secured a three-year term as the top vote-getter in this year's annual election, according to unofficial results.
Daniel Fox was one of two candidates to earn a three-year term under this year's format designed to stagger Select Board elections going forward.

Challenger Daniel Albert finished sixth with 1,027 votes.
Noonan was unanimously re-elected as Board Chair during Wednesday night's meeting.
"I appreciate the trust and the faith that you have in me in extending me another year," Noonan said. "I had a little interruption, I feel like, in last year so I really appreciate the chance to give it my full all this year and I look forward to nominating one of you next year."
Most of the offices were uncontested in Tuesday's vote.
The Parks & Recreation Commissioners did receive a challenge with all five incumbents being re-elected.
Kristin Horton was elected to the Housing Authority in a two-person race on the ballot.
