Marblehead Fort Sewall Volunteer Cleanup Day Planned

Volunteers are being sought to clean up trash as well clear vegetation and crabgrass from platforms and pathways.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Volunteers are sought for a day of cleanup at Fort Sewall as the Fort's Oversight Committee is planning to remove trash and vegetation from pathways and exhibits at the historic park.

The cleanup date is set for Sept. 14 from 9 a.m. to noon.

While FSOC will provide gloves and some tools, volunteers are encouraged, though it's not necessary, to bring tools, rakes, pitchforks, pruning shears, edgers and hoes.

Water, coffee and donuts will be provided.

Residents are asked to help keep the Fort more presentable for the fall season.
