Marblehead High School Kicker Shines At National Showcase In Texas
Greg Motorny earned a spot on the "Hot Prospect List" at the Kicking World national showcase held in Austin, Texas last weekend.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — A Marblehead High football player booted his way onto a college "Hot Prospect List" with his performance at a national kicking showcase held last weekend in Austin, Texas.
Greg Motorny, who kicked for the Magicians as a junior this past fall season, earned the spot on the prospect list after he was the top punter out of 74 who attended the showcase on the second day of the two-day camp.
"Because of Greg's impressive weekend performance and upbeat attitude we put him on the Hot Prospect List right away," Kicking World owner and coach Brent Grablachoff said. "He also looked great on field goals.

"It's clear Greg has a bright future ahead of him."
Motorny was the only kicker from Massachusetts in the competition.

He had a punt average of 41.8 yards and a hang time of 4.24 seconds, with the best ball of 46 yards and 4.56 seconds.
He also made seven field goals at one point in the placekicking competition ranging from 30 to 50 yards.
Motorny earned a place on the Kicking World "Hot Prospect" list geared toward college scouts with his performance.
This was the ninth year of the showcase in Kicking World's 15-year history.
