Marblehead Keeping Picnic Tables Off Beach

Marblehead officials have not set a timetable for the return of the tables, which were removed to encourage social distancing.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead officials said they will not return picnic tables to an area of Devereux Beach, which were removed to encourage social distancing.

Town officials are monitoring state guidance on reopening and will evaluate whether to return the six tables on a regular basis. "We’re taking it day by day and seeing what we can do each day to stay compliant," Recreation Supervisor Jamie Bloch told the Daily Item, which first reported this story.
