Vancouver Canucks goalie Cory Schneider of Marblehead resigned a two-year contract with the team late yesterday for $900,000 per season.
The 24-year-old Schneider, played the last three years in the minor leagues with the Manitoba Moose. He played 60 games with the Moose in the 2009 to 2010 season and racked up 35 wins.
The Marblehead native led the Moose to a Calder Cup Finals with a playoff record of 14-7-0.
