Marblehead Overnight Smash-And-Grab Investigated: Police
Marblehead police said they responded to an alarm on Smith Street and found a smashed front window early Wednesday morning.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — An early morning apparent smash-and-grab on Smith Street was being investigated as a likely burglary in Marblehead on Wednesday.
Marblehead police said they responded to alarms coming from the property at 29 Smith Street that a Google search shows to be the Richdale Convenient Store.
Police said they arrived to find the front window had been smashed with a hole large enough for people to be able to climb through to the inside.

Police said a check of the store and a search of the neighborhood did not produce any suspects and that they contacted the store's owner to do an inventory to determine what, if anything, was stolen.
Police did not say what items might have been missing but that detectives were conducting an active investigation.
