Marblehead Short Film Festival Extends Deadline for Submissions
Cash prizes will be awarded to the best entries.
The Marblehead Festival of Arts has extended its deadline for submission to the 2016 Short Film Festival to April 30, 2016.
According to the statement from the festival, submission is open to "both aspiring and seasoned filmmakers."
There are only a few guidelines:

- Film genres considered: Comedy, Drama, Documentary, Animation, Music Video, Experimental/Performance
- Films must not exceed a 20-minute running time.
- Films produced within the past two years are preferred
- Entries must be submitted on DVD screeners or an online screener.
- Adult Division submissions include ages 19 and up. Student division includes youth and students to grade 12 and up to 18 years old.
- Adult submissions must be accompanied by a entry fee of $10 per film. There is no entry fee for students or youth.
Films will be screened on July 3 and July 4 this summer. Those selected will also have the chance to be screened again at the Winter Short Film Festival in February 2017.
Top prizes for the adult division include $50 and $125 awards. Student submissions are eligible to win a "best in show" ribbon.
