Marblehead Sustainability Fair To Feature Electric Cars, Bike Rodeo
Sustainable Marblehead is hosting the inaugural fair on Sept. 28 at the Brown School.
MARBLEHEAD, MA — Sustainable Marblehead will host its first Sustainability Fair this month as part of its ongoing efforts to engage the community in its mission to promote environmental stewardship and reduce carbon emissions.
The free fair is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Brown School on Sept. 28 and will feature a day filled with educational opportunities, family-friendly activities and interactive exhibits, including a chance to test drive electric vehicles and a bike rodeo to promote the health and environmental benefits of biking.
Bike rodeo spaces are limited so those planning to attend are asked to pre-register on the website.

Scheduled speakers include State Rep. Jenny Armini, Town Sustainability Coordinator Logan Casey and Marblehead Municipal Light Commission Chair Lisa Wolf. Topics include state and local climate legislation, clean energy, the Marblehead Harbor Plan and Net Zero Plan.
"The Sustainability Fair is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, learn from one another, and take actionable steps toward a more sustainable future," Sustainable Marblehead Executive Director Elaine Leahy said. "We are excited to see so many passionate individuals and organizations come together to share their knowledge and inspire others."

Sustainable Marblehead aims to work with the community to reduce waste and pollution and achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2040. Its vision is a vibrant and engaged community actively addressing the climate crisis to ensure our town and planet are habitable and safe for future generations.
