ROOT FOR THE HOME TEAM
The School Committee was supposed to hold a meeting Thursday night but after checking their calendars, the members said: "oops!" Thursday night is also the first home game for Magicians Football. How can they help run the school without rooting on the home team? Join the committee and head to MHS Thursday at 7 p.m. for the first home game of the season. What says fall more than a night game at home?
LOOKING FOR A NEW RIDE?
The Board of Health voted Monday night to place one of its old recycling trucks in surplus. The town hopes to sell the truck on a new municipal site where surplus equipment can be sold.

OOH LA LA!
The Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor will hold its "Cheap and Chic" fashion show Thursday at the Eastern Yacht Club. For $35, watch gorgeous and affordable fashions from Madam Had'em and DS Designs walk down the cat walk. Hair will be styled by Moore & Moore. Turnout is expected to be low but prove 'em wrong and practice your civic duty today. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Help decide who will be on the ballot come November.
SAY NO TO FLU
The Marblehead Board of Health has several flu clinics scheduled for the season though it remains to be seen whether the vaccine will arrive in time for the first one. On Oct. 1, Marblehead is hoping to run a clinic for ages 55 and over during the Lynch Van Otterloo's Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
On Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Marblehead, Salem and Swampscott will team up to run a flu clinic at the Health and Wellness Fair sponsored by the YMCA and Marblehead Chamber of Commerce. The age requirement for this clinic has yet to be set.
Other clinics will be held on Oct. 14 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Community Center for ages 18 and over and Nov. 3, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Community Center (ages to be determined).
Marblehead Board of Health is also teaming up with the schools to provide in school flu clinics for kids.
