MHS Swim Team Makes History

MHS Swim and Dive Team are state champions.

Marblehead Girls Swim and Dive Team won the State Championships at Harvard University on Sunday, the first time the MHS Swim Team has ever won a state championship.

Coach Sue Guertin said it was the most exciting and nerve wracking meet of her 24-year career when the meet came down to the last relay, won by just one second.

Marblehead beat Wayland with just seven swimmers to Wayland's 19.
