North Shore Amy Saltz Community Champions Award Nominations Open
The Marblehead Counseling Center will honor the recipient who significant contributions to the health and wellness of the community.
MARBLEHEAD, MA — Nominations are now open for the second annual Amy Saltz Community Champions Award, honoring those who make a significant contribution to the health and wellness of the community.
The Marblehead Counseling Center will honor those who dedicate their time and talents to improve the region through community service, leadership, volunteerism, charitable actions and mentoring.
The Amy Saltz Community Champions Award is named for the late Amy R. Saltz of Marblehead, who devoted her life to helping others, and was a long-time supporter of MCC.

The award is open to residents of Marblehead, Swampscott, Lynn, Nahant, Peabody and Salem.
Last year’s inaugural winner was Anne Tassel Todisco of Marblehead.

Nominee Qualifications:
1. Nominees must be 21 years or older, and have been a resident of one of the North Shore communities served by the MCC for at least one year.
2. Nominees must have dedicated any combination of volunteer or professional service to one or more of our North Shore communities in any of the following areas:
a. Community Engagement & Leadership – Taking part and/or leading efforts to improve the local community and address community issues.
b. Volunteer Efforts & Philanthropy – Donation of time or services to local organizations including but not limited to nonprofits, charities, schools, animal shelters, senior centers, sports leagues, religious and/or youth organizations.
c. Public Service – Employment or involvement in public service fields including but not limited to education, law enforcement, emergency services, healthcare, and/or local government.
d. Mentorship – Donation of time and professional/social/financial and/or academic support, training or advice to a group or individual on an ongoing basis.
3. Nominees must be willing to participate in the MCC Amy Saltz Community Champions Award program, ceremony and publicity/marketing surrounding the award and award ceremony.
Nominations will be collected beginning now through the end of April. Three finalists will be chosen from the nominees by a selection committee consisting of members from the MCC Board of Directors and members of the local community and area businesses.
