Missing Dog, Believed to be Stolen, Found Safe

A German Shepard named Ivy was thought to have been possibly stolen on Tuesday morning. She was found safe on Tuesday afternoon.

The German Shepard that went missing on Tuesday morning and police believed may have been stolen, has been found safe.

Marblehead police released few details on Tuesday afternoon about the circumstances surrounding her return home, but said in a Facebook post that the dog was “ located a couple streets from her home safe and sound.”

Police had said Tuesday morning that the dog, named Ivy, was outside her Beacon Street home when her owner heard her bark and looked outside to find her gone. The owner told police they believed Ivy may have been stolen because they saw “a spray of dirt” in the yard as if a vehicle had “peeled out.”
