Resident Attempts to Gain Support in Protest Against Hitler Painting

Susan Fader is asking the town, local businesses to help her in protest against MAA exhibit's painting. Protest planned for 11 a.m. Thursday.

Susan Fader is hoping if she gets enough people behind her, the Marblehead Arts Association will remove a painting of Adolf Hitler from an exhibit.

This morning, Fader tried to rally local business owners and the town around her cause, passing out fliers on the streets to urge people to attend a protest tomorrow in front of the Arts Association at 11 a.m.

Resident Gage Delprete's work  is part of an exhibit examining important people of modern culture -- both the good and evil.

But Fader is complaining the Hitler painting is glorifying the man and she, the daughter of Holocaust survivors, is outraged.

Director of Marblehead Arts Association Deb Greel said this morning she has no plans to take the painting down.
