Packages Stolen From Marblehead Newcomers
A family recently relocated to Marblehead has been the victim of a crime.

A grinch has struck in Marblehead.
Thursday afternoon, UPS delivered several boxes to a Colonial Court tenant. The boxes contained gifts from the family's extended family in Georgia - items that filled care packages aimed at making the family feel together even though they are hundreds of miles away this holiday. Included in the packages was a $500 check.
"A neighbor's dog was barking so she looked out and saw UPS drop off the boxes," said the tenant's landlord John White. "By the time the tenant got home, the boxes were stolen."

The family; a mother and 7-year-old son and stepfather recently moved to Marblehead after the man's job transferred him to Jet Blue at Logan Airport in September.

"The reason they moved to Marblehead was that they had researched the best places for schools and safety near Logan," White said. "Marblehead was considered one of the safest and with the best schools and now they end up victimized."
