Police Log: Car Hits Hedge and "Coked Up" Boss

The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police Log on Friday, July 16.

  • At 8:48 a.m. Friday, a sergeant on detail reported seeing a black male with a  garbage bag walking down the street. The man has not been seen in the area previously. Police searched for the man to identify the man who was wearing a purple shirt and a hat. Police did not locate him.
  • At 10 a.m. Friday, a Lucia Road resident said her neighbor's car hit her hedge. The woman did not know if the car rolled or what happened as she just heard the crash. The neighbor was going to get her paperwork to exchange it with the woman whose hedge got run over.
  • At 11:26 a.m. Friday, a Pleasant Street resident called saying her daughter is an employee at a local store and the fill-in manager is leaning on her and is all "coked up." The woman's daughter fears losing her job and did not want to call in herself so she called her mother.
  • At 12:29 p.m. Friday, a man came into the station to report that his parked car was struck on Bessom Street Thursday. He related some construction workers gave him the hit-and-run vehicle's license plate number. The car is described as a blue Volvo station wagon that had stickers all over the rear window.
  • At 1:15 p.m. Friday, a vehicle stop resulted in the arrest of Charles N. Dichirico, 25, 20 Tide St., Swampscott on two warrants (non-Marblehead related). The arrest was made on Pleasant Street.
