Police Log: Car Window Blown Out and Man Asleep On Park Bench
This is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police log from Sunday, June 27 through Monday at 7 a.m.
- At 9:44 a.m. Sunday, police responded to 239 Ocean Ave., at 1 Sargent Road for a report a car had its window broken by a pellet or BB gun.
- At 1:31 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported to police an old fire engine was taking laps around the area of Lafayette Street on West Shore Drive. According to the caller, the engine did not have a muffler and is not registered. Police responded and found nothing. The caller called police back later to let them know the truck was still taking laps around the neighborhood and police should sit in front of caller's house and watch for the truck. Police sat in front of caller's house, but didn't find anything.
- At 7:26 p.m. Sunday, police received calls stating a woman was crying on her State Street balcony. Police checked on woman who stated she was having "a tough day." Neighbors told police they would keep an eye out.
- At 7:51 p.m. police received a call about a man driving a green van and picking through peoples trash on Lattimer Street.
- At 11:47 p.m. Sunday, a caller told police there was a man asleep on a bench on Front Street. Police gave the man a ride home.
