Police Log: Cleaning Company House Sits Too

This is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police log on Tuesday, July 13, through Wednesday, July 14 at 8 a.m.

  • At 8:31 a.m. Tuesday, police received a copy of a certified letter stating the owner of a home on Marion Road is asking abutters to remove a shed that touches the person's property line and leans on the garage. The letter states the neighbors have 14 days to remove the shed before further legal action is pursed.
  • At 7:33 p.m. Tuesday, police arrested  Maria Jesus Rochez, 47, 19 Cressy St., Marblehead, and charged her with assault with a dangerous weapon (guitar), malicious destruction of property over $250 and domestic assault and battery. The arrest was made at her home.
  • At 7:39 p.m. Tuesday, police were called to check on a suspicious car after a Crestwood Road resident was mowing his lawn and a car pulled up and asked him  the location of a house that was unoccupied while the family was at a funeral. He told them the person at one of the homes on Crestwood passed away. They pulled up out front of the house he directed them to and went in. Police arrived at the home and found the person works for a cleaning company and does cleaning at that house. The cleaning company was asked to watch the house while the family was away at the funeral. The woman had the keys to the house and an email from the home owners.
  • At 8:55 p.m. Tuesday, a woman called police and stated her friend tried to run her over and is driving to the police station. Police arrested the woman on a warrant (non-Marblehead related, for assault and battery). Stephanie Graff, 28, 1630 Worcester Road, Framingham, was arrested on the warrant.
