Police Log: Dog Bails Out Second Floor Window

The is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police log from Wednesday, July 28th to Thursday, July 29, at 6 a.m.

 

  • At 10:46 a.m. Wednesday, Marblehead Police received a call from the Salem Police Department. Salem Police said  they recovered a firearm on a 15- year- old male that was stolen from Marblehead in 2007. 
  • At 12:25 p.m. Wednesday, a woman called police and reported that she is taking care of Dory, a Wheaton Terrier owned by two residents of  Cleveland Road. The family she is taking care of the dog for, is away sailing so the woman is in Maine, caring for and walking them. She called police to say she took the dogs for a walk and then went into garden when Dory "bailed from the second floor window and is on the lamb."  Dory is wearing her town dog tags. She said if anyone from Maine calls police to call her on her cell phone.
  • At 3:36 p.m. Wednesday, USCG Boston called to report the Marblehead Park & Rec boat was located by Beverly Harbormaster and is hooked to it's mooring ball and appears intact. No one was around the boat and they wanted to get in touch with the harbormaster.
  • At 4:13 p.m. Wednesday, a person called and reported a large paving roller came Tedesco street and hit the curb and kept going. It was on but no one was operating it according to the caller.
  • At 4:41 p.m. a person called police to tell them a boat called "Nirvana" was at the mouth of the harbor and several people were throwing water balloons off the vessel and at other passing boats. The harbormaster was notified.
  • At 8:14 p.m. Wednesday, a company came to Front Street to repossess a vehicle but the woman who owned the vehicle was upset and refused to get out of the driver's seat.
