Police Log: Hit And Run Ends In OUI Charges
This is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police log from Thursday, July 1 to Friday, July 2, at 8 a.m.
- At 10 a.m. Thursday, a Pleasant Street resident reported all her patio furniture was stolen overnight.
- At 3:29 p.m. Thursday, a box truck struck a tree at 29 Humphrey and 3 Laurel streets. There were no injuries or charges.
- At 4:34 p.m. Thursday, a resident called police to tell them an intoxicated male was standing against a pole on Circle Street. When the police arrived, they found the man was not intoxicated and not bothering anyone.
- At 11:03 p.m. Thursday, callers reported to police they just saw a gray Audi strike a light pole at Tedesco and Maple streets then proceed down Sevinor Road smoking. It turned onto Elizabeth Road and went up Thompson Road. Several people witnessed the accident. Police found exposed wires at the light pole and needed the wire inspector to come out and repair. There was also debris from the vehicle in the road way. Police quickly located and arrested Raymond Talman Hauch, 46, 13 Thompson Road, Marblehead. Hauch was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, negligent driving and leaving the scene of property damage.
- At 12:05 a.m. on Friday, a caller reported a crowed outside 15 State St., and a man urinating on the building.
