Police Log: Joggers Get Hit By Squirt Gun
This is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police Log from Sunday, August 1, through Monday, August 2, at 6 a.m.

- At 11:56 a.m. Sunday, an aunt called police after she said her 12-year-old niece was approached by two men. The two men, were in their early 30s were driving in a white car. The pair allegedly asked her niece if she wanted to go to the beach, but the girl walked away. She was in the area of Pleasant Street and Pleasant Lane at the time and was only able to give police a description of the passenger, who is described as having curly brown hair.
- At 1:13 p.m. Sunday, people called police after witnessing youths in a white Mustang throw liquid at a jogger on Atlantic Avenue. Police dispatch left a message for the car owner.
- At 1:35 p.m. Sunday, a woman jogging on Ocean Avenue called police after a white convertible drove past her and "blasted her with water." The jogger said she was hit in the face and glasses. She was startled and stumbled to the side, she said. She added the males in the car started laughing and cheering.
- At 3:08 p.m. police pulled over a white Mustang on Atlantic Avenue. The teens in the car were in the possession of a squirt gun. Police issued a citation for failure to stop and told the teens their parents can pick up their squirt gun at the station.
