Police Log: Rollover Accident Leaves Man With Hand Injury
This is an excerpt from the police log from Sunday, August 8 to Tuesday, August 10 at 2 p.m.

- At 12:11 a.m. Sunday, a Captains Walk Lane resident called police to complain about a group of teens outside who should not be in the private area.
- At 3:14 a.m. Sunday, police and fire responded to a roll over at 19 Creesy St. A black, Ford Escape rolled over into a fence and rock wall. The driver of the car was found with a laceration on his hand outside the vehicle. He was transported to the hospital where he was later released.
- At 1:19 p.m. Sunday, an Atlantic Avenue woman called police to say an ice cream truck's music was "making her crazy." The truck was in Swampscott.
- At 1:40 p.m. Sunday, Marblehead Police recieved a call from Amesbury Police reporting that they found a vehicle that was completely stripped in their Lake Gardner Beach area. The car had no doors and no steering column. After running the VIN number, the car came back to residents of Rockaway Avenue. When Marblehead Police contacted the town residents, they told police they had turned the car in three months earlier to Kelly Honda on the Lynnway in Lynn.
- At 3:24 p.m. Sunday, a Middle Street resident called police to report that at approximately 2:48 p.m. he was outside and heard a car hit a parked car up the street from him. The suspect's vehicle then left the area, but "did not seem to be in a hurry." The man gave police the license plate number, but was not sure of the license plate's state. He thought the plate had green lettering. The car was identified as a vehicle from North Carolina. Police found a car was struck and had damage to the bumper.
- At 8:29 p.m. Sunday, a Kenneth Road man was reported missing. The man suffers from Alzheimer's and has been found in Lynn in the past when he wandered away. Police put out a be on the lookout alert for the man and used thermal imaging software to search water and called in K9 officers to track the man. A State Police helicopter was also called in to search for the man. The man was ultimately found in Lynn and transported to Salem Hospital. North Shore Elder Services is reaching out to the family to offer support.
- At 12:42 a.m. Monday, a motor vehicle stop on Elm Street resulted in the arrest of Kevin Matthews, 19, 15 Dunstan Road, Lynnfield. Matthews was charged with driving while under the influence of drugs and marked lanes violation.
- At 9:55 a.m. Monday, an Ocean Avenue resident reported a green "slow" man sign with an attached American flag and "Slow Down for Allie" sticker was stolen from his property.
- At 11 a.m. Monday, a Beacon Street woman reported finding large footprints on the opposite end of her house near where she was laying flag stones. The only access to that area is though the trees on Beacon or around the back of the house using the driveway. She has had things stolen from the driveway in the past and just wanted to have it on record in case anything happens in the area.
- At 11:13 a.m. Monday, a Canterbury Road resident reported a flower pot and an animal statue was stolen overnight.
- At 12:14 p.m. Monday, a Garden Road resident found someone smashed her car's window. The caller said after speaking with her neighbor, the neighbor heard something around 12:40 a.m. that woke them and heard kids say, "'that's a good one."
- At 12:45 p.m. Monday, the Harbormaster responded to Redstone Lane where kids were throwing rocks and wood into the water.
- At 8:02 p.m. Monday, a loud explosion was heard in the area of Pond Street. Several calls came in saying it sounded like gun shots. When police arrived, all was quiet.
- At 8:57 p.m. Monday, police took a skateboard from a teen on Pleasant Street who was throwing it at the war memorial. He was told to have his parents pick up the skateboard at the station.
- At 10:48 p.m. Monday, a juvenile was arrested for domestic assault and battery following an altercation with his father.
- At 10:59 a.m. Tuesday, a motor vehicle stop on Pleasant Street resulted in the arrest of John William Campbell, 32, 20 Pond St., Marblehead. Campbell was charged with driving after license suspension, failure to stop or yield and red light violation.
