Police Log: Smoking Street Light and Car Hits Pole
This is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police log from Monday, August 23 through Tuesday, August 24.

- At 11:57 a.m. Monday, a street light on Cornell Road exploded and began smoking, according to reports. When Fire arrived, nothing was on fire. The electric department was notified.
- At 3:24 p.m. Monday, a Pleasant Street couple came home and found their door open and a hypodermic needle on the floor. The husband instructed his wife to close the door and go back outside. While on the phone with police, she screamed and lost the phone connection. Police found a witness on Pleasant Street, who described the suspect as a 5-foot, 6-inch, wearing a baseball cap, possibly Hispanic male and black hair. The witness said he ran from the house and toward the 7-11 on Pleasant Street. Police later found the man running down the street. He is reportedly an employee at a nearby business. The incident is under investigation.
- At 4:05 p.m. Monday, police arrested Bradley M. Frasca, 27, 121 Jackson St., Lynn, on a non-Marblehead related warrant. The arrest was made on Pleasant Street.
- At 8:21 p.m. Monday, a car hit an electric pole on Ocean Avenue. Multiple calls went into police. The car left the scene, but was later found near central fire. An ambulance was called to assist a young female passenger with minor injuries. The pole was snapped in half and the electric department was called. The road was closed while the electric department worked to fix it as police were concerned the wind would knock the pole down.
