Police Log: Underage Drinking Party Ends In Arrests

This is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police log from Friday, June 25 to Saturday, June 26 at 7 a.m.

  • At 8:12 a.m. Friday, John C. McBride, 12 Rolleston Road, Marblehead, was arrested by the Sherriff's Department on a warrant for contempt of a court warrant.
  •  At 6:18 p.m. Friday, a caller requested police perform a well-being check on a Green Street home after she was troubled a newspaper had been in the mailbox for more than one day. The caller does not know the homeowner. Police checked and homeowner is fine and has been home all day.
  • At 9:09 p.m. Friday, the mother of a Boston Yacht Club employee called Lynn Police to report she could hear a possible disturbance in the background of her son's cell phone. Lynn Police called Marblehead Police to check it out. Police found the son had accidentally called his mother and she was hearing restaurant noise. 
  • At 10:31 p.m. Friday, an anonymous caller alerted police to an underage drinking party at 10 Risley Road.  When police arrived, they arrested the teen who lives at the home and charged him with assault and battery on a police officer and minor in possession of alcohol. Police issued summonses for  three juveniles on charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol. A summons was also issued for John M. Hatt, 18, 10 Blueberry Road, Marblehead, on charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol.
  • At 6:24 a.m. Saturday, a Peach Highlands resident called to report every morning between 4:30 a.m. and 6 a.m., a purple Honda drives by with a bad muffler and wakes him up. The car is a newspaper delivery person and that's why it drives by each morning.
