Rat Problem On Trinity Road Reported
This is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police Log from Tuesday through Wednesday.

- At 11:48 a.m. Tuesday, a man submitted a letter to police about the dangers of asphyxiation. In his letter, he warns people to drive with their windows open a crack because an elderly driver may pull off or skid off the road, and then sit there with the heat on and get poisoned, he said.
- At noon on Tuesday, a Trinity Road resident called about a rat problem in the neighborhood. She said there have been daytime sightings of many rats and she has two dogs so she does not want to put out poison or pesticides. She called the health office who directed her to the shelter, who directed her to call the station ,who directed her to contact the Animal Control Officer. She was looking for advice.
- At 6:12 p.m. Tuesday, a group of kids hanging out on Pond Street were confronted by a male and female who said a group of kids their age was going to beat them up. The female took a photo of the group.
- At 11:06 p.m. Tuesday, police stopped a car on Walnut Street and arrested Vaugh R. McGrath,60, 18 Chestnut St., Marblehead, and charged him with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving an uninsured vehicle.
