Resident Complains About Crosswalk Violations

The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police log:
Monday, Dec. 19
- At 12:09 p.m. a resident told police she believed the crosswalks were not being monitored in town because she has almost been hit several times.
- At 3:35 p.m. a sprinkler system malfunctioned and flooded a yard on Auburndale Road. The Water Department was notified.

- At 12:51 a.m. police cleared a vehicle from .
- At 1:36 a.m. police made a motor vehicle stop on Atlantic Avenue. Police gave a verbal warning to the motorist.
- Police issued a verbal warning for a motorist going through a red light on Pleasant Street at 7 a.m.
- A resident of Green Street Ct., reported at 1 p.m., her door and her neighbor's door were vandalized.
- At 3:27 p.m. a large tractor trailer became stuck in Market Square.
- At 4:55 p.m. police received several calls about a car that hit a garage and was "hung up on a wall." The garage was taped off until the building inspector can take a look on Wednesday. There were no injuries.
- At 5:51 p.m. the Medical Examiner's office called Marblehead Police to inquire about a case reported to see if it happened in Marblehead or if the victim just resided in town.
