Last weekend, nearly 100 people turned out to see whose duck would win first place in the second annual Rubber Duck Regatta.
The event, held at Redd's Pond was sponsored by the Marblehead Rotary Club with help from Marblehead High School Interact Club and the Marblehead Community Charter School Early Act Club. All proceeds benefit the Rotary Scholarship Fund.
The Rubber Duck Regatta raised over $3,600 in sponsorships alone. 100 percent of the proceeds go towards scholarships.
For $5, each rubber duck gave participants the chance to win $500 if their duck crosses the pond first, $250 for second place and $100 for third.
