Seaglass Village Names Swampscott High Alumna As Executive Director

The Board of Directors of Seaglass Village announced Anne Quagrello has been hired as the organization's Executive Director.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — A Swampscott High alumna and veteran nonprofit operations manager has been named as the new executive director of Seaglass Village.

The Board of Directors announced that Anne Quagrello was hired effective on July 28.

Quagrello comes to Seaglass VILLAGE from NPOC Services, which specializes in nonprofit operations management. Previously she served as activities coordinator at the Swampscott Senior Center.

"Anne's qualifications and experience are a perfect match for Seaglass Village," says Izzi Abrams, President of the Seaglass Village Board of Directors. "She has the right combination of passion, technical know how, and community connections to help us move forward with our potential expansion into Salem."

"I am thrilled to be joining Seaglass Village," Quagrello said. "While at the Senior Center, I built meaningful relationships with residents and developed services that directly supported their independence and wellbeing.

Quagrello will be Seaglass Village's second Executive Director, succeeding Alyce Deveau who is retiring after working for the organization since its establishment in 2021.

Seaglass Village, www.seaglassvillage.org, is a nonprofit organization that enables older adults in Marblehead, Nahant, and Swampscott to enjoy a healthy quality of life while living independently, by providing volunteer services and social opportunities.

The organization is planning to expand into Salem within the next year.
