Snow Could Accumulate During Friday Morning Commute

Up to an inch of snow is possible in Marblehead during the Friday morning commute, according to meteorologists.

Accumulating snow is possible during the Friday morning commute in Marblehead. If it occurs, it will make it the first time snow affects driving conditions this winter season.

On the North Shore, up to an inch is expected, according to meteorologists at WCVB-TV. In Marblehead, less than an inch is likely with up to 3 inches possible but unlikely, according to channel 5 meteorologists. The greatest chance for accumulating snow will be between 3-8 a.m. Friday. If snow moves in, it could make for hazardous driving on slippery roads with poor visibility.

Further west, the National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for the area around Route 495 and Route 295 from midnight through 9 a.m. on Friday. In that area, up to 2 inches of snow is possible in many areas with up to 3 inches at higher elevations.
