"Strange Men" and Cars Stuck On Ice

The following is an excerpt from the Marblehead Police log.

The following items were found in the Marblehead Police log:

  • At 10 a.m. Friday, a man leaving Ruby Avenue said he saw three "strange men" going door-to-door. Police checked and the men were from the cable company, putting hang tags on mailboxes.
  • At 10:13 a.m. Friday, a snow removal company clearing off a roof on Union Street upset a neighbor as the snow was falling into the neighbor's yard.
  • At 5:37 p.m. Friday, police arrested Lane A. Forman, 50, 9 Locust St., Marblehead, on two warrants. The arrest was made at Logan Airport after an airline alerted Marblehead Police. 
  • At 9:07 p.m. Friday, a resident of Franklin Street complained to police a group of teens performed a "ring and run." The resident said he chased the kids away.
  • At 9:43 a.m. Saturday, police arrested John Michael Goodwin, 38, 16 Endicott Ave., Marblehead on five warrants. The  arrest was made on Endicott Avenue.
  • At 1:40 p.m. Saturday, a home on Commercial Street lost power.
  • At 3:20 p.m. Saturday, a man on Pleasant Street, told police a "strange guy" wearing a "weird hat and weird sweater" was walking back and forth and trying to engage him in conversation. Police told the man he was probably his new neighbor. The man told police he felt the man was dangerous and "on the brink of doing something strange."
  • At 11:54 p.m. Saturday, a man called police after witnessing a man urinating at the end of his driveway on Front Street.
  •  At 1:40 p.m. Sunday, a car got stuck on ice on West Shore Drive.
  • At 4:36 p.m. Sunday, a car got stuck on ice and slid into a snowbank on Tioga Way.
  • At 5:13 p.m. Sunday, a car got stuck on Crowninshield Road.
