Swampscott Dennis Muise Memorial Fishing Tournament Set For Saturday

The Swampscott Yacht Club will host the tournament that is open to both members and non-members.

SWAMPSCOTT, MA — North Shore residents are invited to bring their fishing rods to the Swampscott Yacht Club on Saturday for the 9th annual Dennis Muise Flounder and Skate Tournament.

The tournament is held in memory of Muise, a dearly missed member of the Swampscott Yacht Club. Five dollars from each entry fee will be donated to the American Center Society in his memory.

The contest will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with weigh-in from 2:15 to 3 p.m. and awards at 3 p.m.

Hot dogs, chips and soda will be provided to all participants with the bar open from 2:15 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The tournament is open to all members, guests and non-members with participants advised to bring their own fishing gear and bait.
