Every weekday morning, Marblehead Patch posts entries from the 's log from the day before. Then, on the weekend, we offer a round-up of some of the highlights.

This week's calls included a lot of car break-ins and a woman missing a piece of yarn.

Sunday, July 29

  • At 1:05 a.m., police received a 911 call transfered from the State Police about an assault at Tedesco Country Club. A female told police she was thrown down by her boyfriend and she was now running away. The phone went dead as the caller was talking to police and police traced the call to a prepaid phone with no call back number. Police put a Be On The Look Out Alert out to the area. That BOLO was later canceled and police took a report.

Monday, July 30

  • At 11:34 a.m., a woman reported a man was stalking her.
  • At 12:47 p.m., a woman reported she received a letter in reference to being assassinated. Police determined it was not a threat but instead, a scam letter.

Tuesday, July 31

  • At 12:34 a.m., police received a call about a man near Hawkes Street who sounded drunk. Police found the man was just looking for his cat.

Wednesday, Aug. 1

  • At 5:45 a.m., police received a call from a resident of Rowland Street who heard glass break. The resident found their laptop was stolen from their vehicle.
  • At 6:12 a.m., a car break-in was reported on Orne Street. A purse was stolen.
  • At 7:27 a.m., a car break-in was reported on Prospect Street. The window was smashed and a pair of sneakers were taken. Another vehicle was entered but it had been unlocked so there was no damage to the vehicle.
  • A resident of Cherry Street reported at 7:51 a.m., his car was broken into. His sunglasses were stolen.
  • At 8:11 a.m., a resident of Cedar Street reported her car was broken into and her GPS taken.
  • At 9:06 a.m., a resident of Thompson Road reported his car alarm went off overnight and he saw someone run off.
  • At 9:20 a.m.,  a resident of Crestwood Road reported their car was broken into overnight. Money, a cell phone and wallet were taken.
  • At 9:32 a.m., a resident of Lookout Ct. reported his car was entered overnight but nothing was taken.
  • At 10:23 a.m., a pocketbook was found in the bushes on Leo Road.
  • At 11 a.m., a resident of Orne Street said their car was entered overnight.
  • At 11:36 a.m., resident of Cherry Street reported their truck was entered.
  • At 4 p.m., police responded to a car accident at Pleasant Street and Ocean Avenue. No injuries were reported.
  • At 8 p.m.,  a resident of Cherry Street reported their car was entered overnight.

Thursday, Aug. 2

  • At 12:06 p.m., a resident of Rowland Street reported around 3 a.m., his dog started barking. He later discovered his sunglasses were stolen from his unlocked vehicle. 
  • At 1:42 p.m., a resident of Baldwin Road reported losing "a single piece of red yarn" between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Ocean Avenue.
