Teen Arraigned In Alleged Under Age Drinking Party
Police say 13 teens were engaging in drinking and drug use at a home on the Neck.
One of the teens arrested in Friday night's alleged underage drinking party was back in court this week.
John M. Hatt, 18, of 10 Blueberry Road, was charged with minor in possession of alcohol after a neighbor tipped police off to the party around 10:30 p.m. Friday.
When police arrived at 10 Risley Road, they arrested Hatt as well as the juvenile son of the home owners. The juvenile was charged with assault and battery on a police officer after he got into a scuffle with police and minor in possession of alcohol. Police issued summonses for three juveniles on charges of being a minor in possession of alcohol. Police also say they found marijuana leaves at the scene.

The boy's father allegedly told police his son should be sent away and was more concerned about the house than his son, according to police. Because no one was able to take the teen, he was held for the weekend at the Northeast Regional Juvenile Alternative Lock-up in Lowell.
Meanwhile, Hatt will be back in court for a pre-trial hearing on July 29.
