Volleyball Tournament to Remember Allie on Saturday, Raise Money for Scholarship

The Rally for Allie beach volley tournament happens in memory of Allie Castner on Saturday to benefit a scholarship in her memory.

Friends of Allie Castner have put together a beach volleyball tournament on Saturday to celebrate Castner’s memory, support her scholarship, and remind those of public safety and ”slow down for Allie” five years later, according to Peter Babine, Castner’s uncle.

The tournament, called “Rally for Allie,” happens from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Devereux Beach. There are over 70 participants registered for the tournament. Amanda Rosenberg organized the tournament.

“To keep her spunky personality and high energy spirit alive her friends came to me with the idea of a beach volleyball tournament to commemorate the five year anniversary of her passing,” said Castner’s older sister Lia about getting the event started.
