100 Years Ago: Four Young Men Hit by Lightning During Storm

The long looked for rain arrived on Thursday night in the form of a lightening and thunder storm, which did considerable damage, while it lasted. Dark clouds earlier in the evening were followed by vivid lightening flashes and crashes of thunder, causing no little alarm among the large crowds of people that were on the streets and when the rain commenced to fall about 8 o'clock they ran in terror for places of shelter.
