10th Annual Alumni College Panel Comes to Assabet

For ten years, Assabet has hosted a panel discussion entitled "What's Happening on College Campuses" for the local HS juniors and seniors

From Assabet Valley RTHS: For ten years, Assabet has hosted a panel discussion entitled “What’s Happening on College Campuses” for the juniors and seniors at the school. “We invite recent graduates to come back to share their experiences, talk about what they did to prepare themselves for college while they were here, and answer questions about college life. A lot of them are home for the Thanksgiving break, so the timing works out well. Our students ask questions about everything from the mysteries of financial aid to getting along with randomly chosen roommates. It’s great that they get a chance to ask students who just recently navigated those waters. It’s an event I personally look forward to each year,” explained Mark Hollick, Principal at Assabet.

This year, the students included the following: Megan Hollick, (Hudson); Stephani Province,(Clinton); Megan Fields,(Maynard); Andre Colleoni-Pimenta, (Hudson); Brianna Regonini, Mitchell Lutz, and Brittney Lutz, all from Marlborough; and Josie Burlingame, from Leicester. Hollick is currently a sophomore at Framingham State University after graduating from Cosmetology, and is majoring in Psychology. Province and Fields are both seniors at Nichols College, and both graduated from Assabet’s Business Technology program. Both are majoring in Marketing, with Province specializing in Hospitality, while Fields is pursuing Psychology. Colleoni-Pimenta is a sophomore at Bryant University, having graduated from Business Tech, and is majoring in three things - Finance, Global Supply Chain Management, and Data Analytics! Painting and Design Technologies graduate Regonini is now a freshman at Framingham State University and is majoring in Marketing with a minor in Sociology. Both of the Lutz siblings are at Franklin Pierce University. Mitchell, who graduated from our HVAC-R program, is a freshman majoring in Finance, while his older sister, Brittney, from Health Technologies, is a senior majoring in Occupational Therapy. Burlingham also graduated from Health Technologies, and is now a freshman at Mass College of Liberal Arts, majoring in Athletic Training.
