140 Apartments In Marlborough Proposed For Boston Post Road
A new developer is taking over the project previously known as Walcott Heritage Farms.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — A Middleton-based developer has acquired about 27 acres along Boston Post Road East with plans to build a 140-unit multifamily development on the site.
The property at 339 Boston Post Road property was where developer Waypoint Residential planned to build 188 units four years ago. The Marlborough City Council initially blocked the project, but later approved a special permit for the project after the developer sued the city in state Land Court. The size of the project, called Walcott Heritage Farms, shrunk to 140 units.
The developer Procopio Companies on Tuesday said the company will take over the 140-unit development after purchasing the land in May for $4 million, according to Middlesex County Property records.

The property will include a mix of one-bedroom (60), two-bedroom (62), and three-bedroom (18) apartments," the developer said in a news release Tuesday.
Procopio is a prolific developer in the region, and is the same company behind the redevelopment of 57 Main St., the former Rowe Funeral Home.
