1.  was a special guest in Amy Gogan’s third-grade class at the in recognition of “Community Reading Day” last week. Vigeant was on hand to read the students the story of "Thunder Cake" by Patricia Polacco, the story of a grandmother who soothes her granddaughter’s fears surrounding thunder storms by making a “thunder” cake. 3. The New England Wild Flower Society seeks volunteers for a variety of capacities at Garden in the Woods in Framingham. No experience is necessary and it doesn't matter what your skill level or the amount of time you can devote to volunteering, said a release. To learn about all of the opportunities, join them for a Volunteers Fair, Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Garden in the Woods, 180 Hemenway Rd., Framingham, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. There will be a brief presentation about volunteer opportunities, followed by refreshments and a tour of the facilities. Contact Education Director Bonnie Drexler to register.
