5. Students in the Senior Leadership Class at have taken on a new challenge as part of the “Fuel Up to Play 60” grant which encourages students to eat a healthy breakfast. The students will be offering morning fare such as waffles, muffins, fruit, paninis, yogurt parfaits, and juices in the newly developed Cyber Cafe in the school’s Media Center. Bistro tables, booths reminiscent of diners, and funky artwork give the area an upbeat flair. With help from the Superintendent Mary Jo Nawrocki, students shopped for wall art, sculptures and accessories that would create the right atmosphere, and held a soft opening for a small group. Students hope to be open on a regular basis in a few weeks.
