5 Things You Need To Know Today: July 12

1. The temperature is going up a notch today. The National Weather Service says it is going to be 93 degrees today with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon, but otherwise sunny.

3. The "hugging saint" Amma will visit Marlborough Wednesday evening in an event at the at 7 p.m. See Ajita Perera's blog on the upcoming event here. 

4. On Monday, July 18 giant (3 ft tall) Mango Pineapple Real Fruit Smoothie cups will be popping up early in the morning in Marlborough and several other Metrowest communities. Whoever finds a giant Smoothie cup and brings it into a participating on July 18 can win free Real Fruit Smoothies for a year. The giant cups say "Take Me to McDonald's" on them and are complete with instructions on how you turn them in to win. Look for an expanded story on this event towards the end of the week.
